He jumped in the shower
Discovered today that Simba loves water. He jumped into the running shower and now there are wet paw prints all over my house.
He follows me everywhere
Simba cannot be alone for five seconds. He scratches doors, sits on my keyboard, and stares at me in the shower. This cat is basically a dog.
Trying to walk the cat
Took Simba outside on a harness for the first time today. He did way better than expected. My neighbor was very confused.
He never runs out of energy
Tried to tire out my toyger cat tonight. Twenty minutes of fetch, endless wand toy sessions. He outlasted me easily.
Everyone thinks he is a wild animal
My friends came over to meet Simba the toyger and immediately asked if he was dangerous. He proved them wrong by being the friendliest cat ever.
I think it might actually be helping
Two nights of silence! The new routine seems to be working. Pip is digging instead of chewing and I'm so relieved.

The koala is with a carer now
The wildlife carer picked up the joey. It's in the best hands now and will hopefully be released back into the wild. It's been a crazy few days.
Update: The koala went to the vet
We managed to separate the baby koala from Asha and took it to the vet. It's healthy, which is a relief. Now we're waiting for a wildlife carer.
Found a baby koala on my dog
This morning I went out to check on my dog Asha and found a tiny baby koala clinging to her back. I think she saved its life overnight.
Maybe her cage still isn't big enough
Deep diving into hamster research. Apparently females need massive space. Can't afford another cage so looking for other options.
What am I doing wrong with my hamster?
I upgraded Pip's cage with everything recommended, but she's still chewing the bars and hurting herself. Feeling defeated.

A Vet Visit and a New Plan for Lewis
We took Lewis to the vet to understand his elderly rat sudden aggression. It seems his failing senses might be the cause, so we have a new plan.
Something is Wrong with Lewis's Behavior
Woke up in the middle of the night to a horrible sound. My elderly rat Lewis has started showing sudden aggression, and I'm so worried about him.
The Cruelest Trick We Play On Our Dog

He's just everything
One month with Duke. The lap sitting, the walks, the breakthroughs. Hes changed everything and I wouldnt trade him for the world.
The silent killer
Nobody warned me about pitbull farts. This is a biological weapon disguised as a dog.
We had a breakthrough!
After weeks of training, Duke actually listened to 'leave it' when it mattered. There was a chicken wing on the sidewalk. He left it.
He's got the zoomies
Every night after dinner Duke loses his entire mind and runs laps around the apartment. Its chaos but also hilarious.
Gentle giant
My grandma met Duke today. She was nervous at first. By the end she was hand feeding him treats and calling him a good boy.
Training is a work in progress
Were working on 'leave it' but Duke has other plans. Specifically any plan that involves squirrels.
The dreaded walk
Taking Duke for a walk means watching people cross the street to avoid us. He just wants to say hi but they see a monster.
He thinks he's a lap dog
Duke is 65 pounds of muscle and has decided my lap is his throne. My legs are numb but honestly I dont even care anymore.
